I was perusing Amazon and I stumbled across some books for the Kindle reader that are free. Free? Yes, free. I don’t know why they are free though I have theories but whatever. Someone is giving them away and they have value. If they have value to you feel free to pick them up for yourself as well. I am only posting six today. Maybe I will do more in the future.
(If you need an e-reader I recommend the Kindle Paperwhite 3G.)
So on to the free books…

“This book actually made me cry at the end and that is unusual for a non-fiction book. It just gave me the validation as a writer that I’ve never had before. Seldom do I run across other writers in person and so reading Mark’s book really was a confidence booster. I recommend this book to all writers especially those who are new. It’s the added boost we all need to see our little “babies” rise from the literary crib to adulthood.”

Pete Comley

Length: 278 pages
For the first time, this book exposes exactly how most private investors perform in real life. It shows they are likely to perform 6% a year worse than the industry’s theoretical predictions of their returns (whether using funds or direct investing). The book reveals that many have earned less than if they had saved in a building society.
Part I of the book looks in detail at reasons why investors underperform: poor skill, charges and survivorship bias. The second part turns to the implications for the private investor, the finance industry and regulators.
Monkey with a Pin encourages private investors to review their investing style and strategy to help them achieve better returns.
